How To Help

How Can You Help?

St. Vincent de Paul Conference

Organized locally, conferences consist of groups of volunteers that minister regularly to our neighbors in need. We attend meetings to pray, learn about opportunities, and support and encourage one another. As part of a conference, members conduct personal one-on-one interviews to determine how our neighbors’ needs can best be addressed. Members of the conference work in the various services areas of our St. Vincent facility, or from their homes, to provide services, plan events, fundraisers or community outreach to support and involve our local community. Volunteering at a conference is a wonderful way to meet new friends, to expand your understanding of poverty and to discover a new sense of compassion for our neighbors in need.

Interested in Volunteering?

We are grateful for your interest in volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to join SVdP to increase your spiritual growth and to improve the lives of those in need within our community. We recognize that your time is a valuable resource and we are delighted that you would like to join us!

SVdP works hard to serve our neighbors in Charlotte County in a variety of ways, and as you might expect, there are numerous ways that you can get involved. Whatever level of involvement you have - as an interested citizen, a retiree who wants to participate in community outreach, or as a student with class requirements - you will make a difference in your community by supporting our mission.
